About Rachel Waterman-Smith
I was pursuing a degree in Elementary Education when I stumbled across massage. I was bored with the core curriculum classes that came with my degree and just wanted to take a “fun class.” Slowly it went from one “fun class” to the next when suddenly the teacher turns to me one day and says, “Rachel, have you realized yet that you’re not a teacher but a massage therapist?”
Well, I guess I hadn’t really thought about it, but I knew she was right. I graduated from Lansing Community College with a Certificate in Massage Therapy in December of 2003.

Just before graduating I had already started massaging clients out of my home and other peoples’ homes. This lasted for a little while, and then in March of 2005 I officially opened my business within a chiropractors office. Now, here I am in my current space.

I love my job and I look forward to helping you achieve your health goals and making you feel great!

I truly enjoy helping people to have a better & healthier life. I do this by customizing a massage for each client to accommodate their specific needs. Each person’s needs vary from general relaxation to specific clinical work. I continue to modify the massage by using different techniques to help reach your health goal. Massage is very beneficial to literally everyone. The age range is from newborn to elderly. I do, however, ask that if you are under the age of 18 that you have a parent, or guardian, with you. They will need to fill out and sign paperwork, plus be present during the massage.
